【發現一本好書 -- 張湘君教授選讀】《Like The Ocean We Rise》

日益嚴重的氣候危機已經造成無數生命面臨威脅，但一般人或許會因氣候變遷影響太過劇烈，而感到不知所措。其實，科學家早已指出解決方案，但考驗我們的是：如何具體落實在生活各個層面上。

在廣闊美麗的地球中，儘管我們每個個體都很小，但是我們仍要連結擴大，直到我們扭轉潮流。

畫者Sarah Wilkins的插圖很有特色，加上頁面挖洞的視覺設計，一個雨滴滴在光滑的水面上，產生了漣漪效應，翻頁時，雨滴倍增，漣漪擴大 (當我們與瑞典、澳大利亞和烏干達的人們一起努力時，這些雨滴以及漣漪會擴大)，完美地傳遞書中文字的訊息-地球廣闊而美麗，但全球應對氣候變遷需要你我共同採取行動。

本書以優美的文字和圖片，藉鑑了世界各地氣候變遷產生的危害，拯救美麗地球的例子，同時也頌揚了各地風生雲起、掀起波瀾的國際青年氣候變遷抗議運動。

故事結尾附有一個甚麼是氣候變遷以及如何應對的實用資訊頁面，師長可以善加利用來引領孩子探究世界各地因氣候變遷產生的危害以及各種不同的減緩解決方案。
